Our Vision:

Our Opportunity:
For years we had been looking at the under-utilized waterfront area known as
Lot 6 and wished it could be a beautiful waterfront park. Then in 2005, the
Port of Hood River donated this land to the City for a park. In 2006 we
began a campaign to develop a park that would be the welcoming front door
for our city. Construction began two years later.

We continue to be inspired by this opportunity. The park provides a
connection visually and physically between the City and the Columbia River
and is a catalyst for economic development and recreational enjoyment. It
has already become a key community meeting place and the centerpiece of a
waterfront trail system.
